Rusty-Horse farms is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in Wood County, West Virginia. The farm is 94 acres of hay, pasture and hardwoods.  We have been in the business of raising horses since 1998.  Recently we started in the business of boarding, leasing, training horses and giving riding lessons.

Rusty-Horse Stables is a 23 stall horse stable with an outdooor arena.  There are many miles of old roads and trails around the property.  Places to trail ride are readily available. Our stable is a full service stable.  All feed and care for our customer's horses is provided.

Rusty-Horse is committed to modern, natural handling and training methods. Our commitment is to use humane, effective methods. Techniques used at Rusty-Horse are taken from the Natural Horsemanship movement and are taken from the teachings of highly respected clinicians such as John Lyons, Clinton Anderson, Pat Parelli, Dr. John Miller and Monty Roberts.

We use sound agriculture practices. We manage our own land and produce our own hay and pasture. Our land is maintianed in a condition that is productive and environmentally sound.  Because we feed our own horses and our customer's horses with the hay we raise, we produce the highest quality hay possible. 

Finally, Rusty-Horse is committed to promoting the horse and equine industry as a whole and in the mid-Ohio valley.
